Snake Park
Parassinikadavu, the small village lying at a distance of about 18 km from Kannur town is a popular tourist destination, known for its Muthappan Temple and the Snake Park. The District Tourism Promotion Council has arranged boating facilities at the river here.
Snake Park
The Snake Park, established for the conservation and preservation of snakes, is the only one of its kind in Kerala. It houses more than 100 varieties of snakes like the Cobra, the Viper, and the Krait. Lecture demonstrations are conducted at the park by trained personnel to disseminate information about snakes and to create awareness that will help fight superstitions regarding these reptiles.
